My little sister was given tickets for the Lytham Festival as a present for her 15th birthday, as she needed to a responsible adult to attend with her, I was invited along.
Our tickets were for Wednesday 2nd August 2017, meaning we got to see Olly Murs!!
In true festival style we did our hair, make up and added lots of glitter…
As my sister is an avid concert goer, it was essential that we arrrived 4 hours before the gates even opened, sitting out on the grass all day made me feel like a true teenage fan girl (shame I’m no longer a teenager!)
The rain had to make an appearance of course, but I suppose it wouldn’t be a festival without a shower or two.
When we finally made our way through the gates we had to run like mad to make sure we got to our well earned spot as close to the stage as possible.
We actually got to stand on the front row, at the barrier! It was such an amazing experience! The 4 hour queue turned out to be worth it in the end!
Before Olly came on stage we had the pleasure of watching a band called The Tailor made and Louisa Johnson. They were both really good warm up acts.
Then it was time for what we had all been waiting for…
Olly Murs is such a natural performer, he put on a brilliant show and his music is so easy to sing along and dance to.
He played a mixture of his old and new music along with some covers of fun party classics. He has so much energy it’s unbelievable!
The sun went down over the crowd, as it turned dark the fairground rides lit up. So pretty!
We had such a brilliant time at Lytham Festival, fun fun fun 😊
